I'm putting an AI receptionist on the line of a few businesses here in qathet for a week, at no charge. She picks up what you'd otherwise miss — after five, weekends, or when you're already on the other line — finds out what the caller wants, and texts it to you before they've had a chance to ring somebody else.
Olivia answers my phone. She isn't a person.
She isn't built to replace whoever answers your phone now. She's built for the rings they can't reach: lunch, after five, both lines going at once, the Saturday morning nobody's in.
She asks what they need, gets their name and number, and texts you the lot. If she's on your calendar she books them in while they're still talking and texts them the confirmation.
She's the receptionist for my own business, not a demo I built for this page. That felt like the honest way to sell one.

If you haven't got a website
A fair few businesses in town either don't have one, or have one that never quite got finished.
That's the other half of what I do. A simple, fast page that says what you do, where you are, and how to reach you, pointed at your own domain rather than sitting on someone else's. It doesn't need to be complicated to work.
It gets built the way I'd build my own. Laid out to what's actually converting now, not what looked modern five years ago, and structured underneath so the search engines can read it and so can the AI — because increasingly it's ChatGPT and Google's AI answer deciding who gets recommended, and most local sites are invisible to both.
It's free, and it stays free for as long as Olivia is answering your line.

Fair question if you've just landed here.
I've spent twenty years in direct marketing. When we moved up here I spent a stretch as a service advisor at a shop in town, which is where this all started making sense to me. The phone would go while I had somebody at the counter and a car on the hoist, and there was nothing to be done about it. Whoever was ringing either waited or didn't.
I went through the businesses in town one by one and picked out the ones I'd like to work with. There aren't many spots in this.

A week at no charge.
Olivia goes on your line for a week and catches the calls you miss. You ring those people back yourself. If she catches nothing, you're out nothing and I've learned something.

That's the system that texts your customer after the job and asks them for a Google review. It normally sits outside the monthly. For local businesses starting this month, it's in.

Setup waived, and month to month.
Setting her up for your business is normally where you'd start, and it's normally charged. For businesses here in qathet, I'm waiving it. After that it's month to month — no contract, no lock-in, and if she isn't earning her place, tell me and she comes off that day.
I'm not doing this to be nice. I want a handful of businesses in this town I can point to, and I'd rather they be ones I can walk into.

Questions I get asked
Why is this free?
Because most of my clients are in Australia and the States, and the one place I can't point to a customer is my own town. A week costs me nothing but setup time, and if she earns her place you'll tell me. That's the whole arrangement.
What if I already have someone answering the phone?
Then she's not for your busy hours. She's for the second call that comes in while they're on the first one, and the six-in-the-evening ones nobody's there for. The businesses that get the most out of her already have somebody good on the desk.
Do I have to change my number?
No. Your number stays exactly as it is. We set it to pass calls to her when nobody picks up, or when the line's engaged, or after hours — you choose which. Takes about ten minutes with your phone provider.
How long until she's running?
A day or two. Most of that is me asking you questions about how you actually work, which is the part that makes her good.
What happens after the free week?
You tell me whether she earned her place. If she did, it's a monthly and I'll give you the number then. If she didn't, she comes off and that's the end of it. I'm not going to chase you.
I've stood on your side of this. I know what it's like when the phone goes and there's already someone in front of you, and you make the call about which one gets you.
That's the whole reason I build these. Not because the technology is clever, but because I remember the sound of a phone ringing out while I was busy being useful to somebody else.
